Before any long periods of travel, such as a long car ride or flight, be sure to give your dog plenty of exercise. A well-exercised dog is typically calmer and can handle stress better. Once you reach your destination, continue to provide ample opportunities for physical activity.
7. Hydrate and Feed Regularly
Ensure your dog has access to fresh water at all times, especially if you’re traveling in warm weather. Stick to their regular diet as much as possible and avoid giving them new foods during the trip, which could upset their stomach.
