4. Controlled Visual Contact
Once your new cat seems comfortable in their room and has gotten used to the scent of any existing pets, you can start controlled visual introductions. Use a baby gate or keep the door slightly ajar so that the animals can see each other without full contact. Monitor their reactions and continue if all signs are positive.
5. Allow Supervised Meetings
When both the new cat and any existing pets seem relaxed with visual contact, you can proceed to supervised face-to-face interactions. Keep these meetings short and always supervised until you are confident that they can interact peacefully. Always be ready to intervene if necessary.
